The Chair/Rail Project 2014 was a tremendous success with over 30 chairs auctioned off at the September 20th Fundraising Auction at the Rail Station in Stamford, NY.
Funds raised will help offset operational costs of the Stamford Railroad Station which is a shared meeting place for four local community organizations: Greater Stamford Area Trust (Headwaters Trails), Greater Stamford Area Chamber of Commerce, Stamford Historical Society, and the Stamford Village Improvement Association (SVIA). The Chair / Rail Committee wishes to thank all those creative artists who donated their chair, time and talent: Renovations to the 138 year-old structure owned by the DURR (Delaware & Ulster Railroad were made possible thanks to the tireless efforts of Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council, Inc. and generous funding from The Robinson-Broadhurst Foundation, Inc., The A. Lindsay & Olive B. O’Connor Foundation, The Board of the Catskill Revitalization Corporation, as well as the NY Main Street Program. |
