Liberty Rock Books, LLC operates within a 5,000 sq. ft. building, which also includes a consignment room and an Art Gallery for original art works, workshops, readings and more. With capacity for 50,000 plus books we continue as broad generalists with specialty collections as they become available.
Award-winning new books supplement our used and scarce books that we’ve assembled over 40 years. A large selection of Children’s Books from the 19th and 20th centuries are in our Tinkertown KinderBooks section.
Recent acquisitions include an extensive James Joyce and “celtic company” collection, a Native American collection and a wonderful art book collection featuring Expressionism. Many new categories are being established weekly as we continue to shelve and organize our recently renovated grand space. We have an large Jazz record & CD collection on hand from one audiophile who was also a musician. His gently played albums are priced to sell for a market which is is seeing a resurgence. Carlton F. Bloodgood’s collection of 40,000 Vintage Postcards with views of New York State cities, towns and villages continue to be a part of our shop. Also at Liberty Rock Books, our front retail room is being handed over to Grace Heffner of Little Dog Books and More, who has many categories including periodicals from the 1960s. Also in the main retail space of Liberty Rock are consignment books from Brooklyn’s Ugly Duckling Presse, as well as local sellers such as JQR Books, Pankin’ Poon Collectables, and various local authors. Plan on spending some time visiting us …. including our very friendly official feline greeter, “Libby", who likes to sleep by the front door! |
