Fifty-nine minutes each way and a combined 89 miles can take its toll on both driver and vehicle, particularly during the challenging Winter months.
However, Dennis will still be traveling throughout the year as he continues to sell books, ephemera, bookends, art, maps and periodicals at Book Shows in New York, Pennsylvania and New England.
We wish both of them good health & fortune, and we thank them for their time in the Hobart Book Village.
After 5 full seasons in the Hobart Book Village, Dennis Lauchman and Rosie Richards, have decided to return to their hometown of Gilbertsville, NY in Otsego County.
We are pleased to announce that in the Spring of 2020, two stores will open on Main Street to expand the total number of book related shops to 6.
"NY Books & Ephemera" will take over the space next to Creative Corner Books and offer an array of very interesting books, printed matter and a wide variety of products made in New York.
3 new ventures will occupy the north side portion of the Historic Hobart Inn.
These are:
"The Book Nook" - a Children's Lending Library,
a new Bookshop offering great finds at reasonable prices, and a Clothing Boutique of vintage garments.
All Bookshops in the Hobart Book Village are OPEN or ACCESSIBLE ON WEEKENDS from now until
MEMORIAL Day Weekend. Our hours are:
Saturday & Sunday ........................................ 11 am to 5 pm
On Holiday Mondays ....................................... 10 am to 3 pm
